Chennai Super Kings
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is the franchise cricket team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, which has been playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the first edition of the tournament in 2008. They were one of the eight teams to compete in the 2020 Indian Premier League. The Super Kings have lifted the IPL title thrice (in 2010, 2011 and 2018), and have the best win percentage among all teams in the IPL (61.28).They hold the record of being the franchise that has qualified the maximum times for the playoffs (ten) and the Final (eight) of the IPL. They are the only IPL team that had qualified for the playoff stage in every edition that they had participated in until 2019. On 10th April 2021, the Super Kings started their season campaign with a loss to Delhi Capitals. Capitals' Rishabh Pant won the toss and chose to field first. In the first two overs, the Super Kings lost their openers Faf du Plessis for duck and Ruturaj Gaikwad for the score of 5 runs. However, new signing Moeen Ali and Suresh Raina hit a strong 50-run partnership. Moeen lost his wicket after whom Ambati Rayudu came and played a short partnership with Raina. Raina played a short-suistaining innings with Ravindra Jadeja. During this partnership, Raina completed a half century but got run out soon. CSK's skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni who came right after Raina's wicket, got out for a duck to Avesh Khan. Sam Curran and Jadeja guided CSK to 188/7. However, Delhi Capitals' openers - Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw played a long partnership at 10 runs per over and won the match by 7 wickets with 8 balls remaining.
